360 Degree Feedback SurveysHR/TD practitioners have told us that they are responsible for developing the credit union management team but often lack an effective tool to accomplish that task. To meet that need, our partnership has developed a web-based 360 Degree Feedback Survey which is administered to all Executives, Managers, and Supervisors. The 360 Degree Feedback Survey leverages our partnership's Credit Union experience and our success with web-based surveys to avoid the complexity and implementation issues that are the most frequently seen barriers to using this valuable technique. The goal of doing a 360 Degree Feedback Survey is for every executive, manager, and supervisor to develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) in response to credible feedback from people who work with them at all levels. The 360 Process consists of five phases:
The Business Insights Group staff handles all aspects of survey administration. Each participant receives a unique web link with access to the 360 process. Each person's web page identifies all of the ratings they are to complete and shows their progress toward completing their surveys. When the 360 Degree process is completed, each participant receives an explanation of the results and their feedback report. The report contains both quantified data and qualitative text-based feedback. Results are only available to the person the report is directed to and to that person's manager.
